The matchup between the Golden State Valkyries and Dallas Wings saw a special guest in Stephen Curry. The Golden State Warriors star was seen in the stands showing support for the Bay Area’s WNBA team.

The Valkyries have been one of the best teams in the WNBA this campaign. They recorded their 25th win of the season after sealing a convincing 78-70 victory over the Wings at the Chase Center on Monday night.

The win saw them inch closer to the Minnesota Lynx, who sit at the top of the standings. The Valkyries improved their record to 25-9 as they sit in second place and are now three games behind the Lynx. Meanwhile, the Wings are currently in eighth place in the standings.

At the end of the first quarter, Tiffany Hayes brought the ball up with the clock winding down and pulled up from the logo. After making the shot, the cameras quickly shifted to Curry, who was seen celebrating alongside his teammate, Gary Payton Jr..

Nobody knows better than Stephen Curry when it comes to making shots from the logo at the buzzer. Curry has earned the respect of everyone who watches him for his ability to drill difficult shots from range. The four-time champion has shown immense support for the WNBA team, which was founded last year.

The Valks are in red-hot form at the moment as they have made it five wins in a row after their win on Monday night. Valks guards, Gabby Williams and Veronica Burton led the scoring for the home side with 23 points and 16 points, respectively. Meanwhile, Hayes came off the bench and added 10 points.

Stephen Curry on if Ballhalla reminds him of Roaracle

Very few arenas in the NBA were as loud as the Oracle Arena. One of the main reasons was Curry’s influence and impact. The 38-year-old was drafted by the Dubs as the number seven pick in the 2009 NBA draft and grew into one of the greatest players of all time.

When speaking courtside, Curry was asked if the atmosphere was similar to the Oracle.

It’s definitely reminiscent for sure, which is kind of a great vibe from Oracle to Chase in we play, and then what Ballhalla has meant for the last 2 years. So hopefully they have a great end to the year. They’re obviously playing amazing basketball, and seeing that they have a great chemistry, it’s great to watch.

The “Ballhalla” is the nickname for the Valks’ home-court atmosphere, while “roarcle” is the nickname for the atmosphere created at the Oracle arena whenever the Warriors took to court. The Ballhalla were at their loudest when Hayes drilled her three from the logo at the end of the first quarter.

Mike Dunleavy booed at the Chase Center

While the WNBA team is looking like a strong contender for the championship this year, things are not the same on the men’s side. The Warriors are well past their dynasty years and are far from title contenders at the moment, even with Curry at the helm. They are the only team that hasn’t made a single acquisition this summer so far.

When Warriors General Manager Mike Dunleavy was shown on the Jumbotron, fans at the Chase Center made their feelings known and booed him. Warriors and Valks reporter Kenzo Fukuda reported that the fans voiced their frustration when the Warriors GM was shown on the big screen.

There were definitely boos mixed in with the cheers when the jumbotron showed Warriors GM Mike Dunleavy at the Valkyries game tonight. Just comparing the ovations Moses Moody, GP2, and Steph Curry got, certainly some a mixed response for Dunleavy from the crowd.

Curry was seen all smiles as he enjoys his offseason before the 2026-27 campaign gets underway. There aren’t many hopes surrounding the Warriors heading into next season. It remains to be seen if they can be competitive in a stacked Western Conference and if they look to make any big moves at the trade deadline next year.
