Enes Kanter Freedom Gets Thrown Out of Fever-Sky Clash After Natasha Cloud Confronts Him Courtside
Enes Kanter Freedom has been arguing for his eligibility to play in the WNBA after claiming that he identifies as a woman.

Enes Kanter Freedom drew the sports world’s attention when he declared his intention to be part of the player pool for the upcoming 2027 WNBA Draft.
The former Oklahoma City Thunder center argued that the league’s current eligibility criteria do not specifically detail what defines a woman. Since he identifies as one, it should be enough to enter the league.
Since then, Kanter Freedom has faced a lot of backlash, but that did not stop him from sending his declaration for the draft to the WNBA’s office. So far, the league has not directly responded to him, which is probably why it led him to appear at one of their games.
The Turkish-American arrived at Wintrust Arena, home of the Chicago Sky, where the latter were about to take on the Indiana Fever. Considering that Sophie Cunningham was present, Kanter Freedom thought it was a good idea to further his activism by joining her supporters.
He was seated courtside, behind one of the baskets, wearing a T-shirt that supported his message. The game was close for most of the time, and Natasha Cloud scored a layup and drew a foul with her team just six points adrift of the Fever.
After chest-bumping a teammate, the veteran guard, who is not afraid to speak her mind, turned towards Enes Kanter Freedom and mouthed a few words. The latter stood up from his seat, crossed the media line with his arms stretched wide, and kept jawing back.

Immediately, arena security stepped up and escorted him back. That is because the 34-year-old walked past the line that is there to protect players. As he was walking towards the exit, most of the crowd booed the former Boston Celtics star. Eventually, he was asked to leave the premises.
Enes Kanter Freedom lashes out at WNBA for throwing him out
Videos showing Enes Kanter Freedom arguing with arena and WNBA security went viral on social media. In one of them, he is seen telling them that it was ‘unacceptable’ that he was being thrown out, claiming that he did not do anything to warrant it.

I just got kicked out of a WNBA game for supporting WOMEN! Let that sink in, AMERICA!

This is the former third-overall pick, who believes that he was there at Wintrust Arena to support the WNBA and its women. Instead, he has been thrown out for no specific reason.

Let that sink in, AMERICA! 🇺🇸
Had Natasha Cloud not engaged with Enes Kanter Freedom, maybe the league could have gotten by without having to address anything. Now, they could be forced to issue a statement explaining why their security escorted the former NBA star out of a game.
Caitlin Clark agrees to Stephanie White’s suggestion that Enes Kanter Freedom discourse stays on social media
Since this situation involving Enes Kanter Freedom got out of hand after Natasha Cloud confronted him, reporters, after this battle between the Sky and the Fever asked Stephanie White for a reaction.
I think it’s important you guys don’t give it any gas. It’s a social media thing, right?
Stephanie White replied
When the Indiana Fever head coach was saying this, Caitlin Clark, sitting beside her, nodded in agreement. It was as if she wanted the mainstream media not to give this social media discourse any more fuel.
On getting asked about off-court things when they just finished playing a great basketball game:

The point guard has talked about how she did not appreciate people creating narratives on social media. She did call out one mainstream publication for writing what she claimed was a false report on her and her teammates.
Now, with this nod, it is as if Caitlin Clark is asking those associated with the WNBA in an official capacity not to help those narratives by writing or talking about them, as any opinion has a chance of blowing back in their faces.
