Taylor Fritz and Morgan Riddle split in April this year after dating for six years. Now months after the breakup, the tennis ace was spotted with Jacob Elordi’s ex-girlfriend Olivia Jade Giannulli in New York City ahead of the US Open.
But this was not the first time they were photographed together. In May, DeuxMoi reported that they were spotted at members-only hotspot The Bird Streets Club in West Hollywood, California. At the time, a source told TMZ it was just a friendly hangout because Fritz didn’t want to get into another relationship.
Then, as per Page Six, Fritz and Giannulli also attended Tommy Paul and Paige Lorenze’s wedding. But it’s unclear whether they attended together. After their recent outing, a source told Page Six this:
Olivia Jade and Taylor Fritz have been hanging out and enjoying their time together. They are not exclusive.
Another source told Page Six that Giannulli and Fritz have been seeing each other for a month and are having a lot of fun together.
Olivia definitely has a type, and Taylor fits that mold. They really like each other, but they’re just enjoying where things are right now and seeing where it goes.
Fritz was last seen in action in the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Masters. He lost to compatriot Brandon Nakashima. The US Open kicks off on August 30, and Carlos Alcaraz will be competing as the defending champion. Alcaraz will compete for the first time since the Barcelona Open, as a wrist injury has kept him on the sidelines since then.
In last year’s US Open final, the seven-time Grand Slam champion defeated World No.1 Jannik Sinner, who will not be competing because of a wrist injury. Sinner defeated Fritz in the 2024 US Open final.
Taylor Fritz reveals how he manages to maintain his level throughout the match
Taylor Fritz is one of the most consistent players on the tour. This season, he has reached five finals, winning, however, only the Citi Open by defeating Rafael Jodar. Compatriot Ben Shelton defeated him at the Dallas Open and the Stuttgart Open, while Frances Tiafoe beat him in Halle.

During the Cincinnati Masters, Fritz sat for an interview with Tennis Channel, where he was asked what he does when he drops his level during matches.
I mean, I always feel like I know just baseline, like, typically what I can do, I can what speed I hit the ball at to put balls in the court. I know that I can, like, I feel pretty good at my serve. Usually there’s a baseline to that. And yeah, if I’m struggling to be aggressive and I’m making mistakes, then I kind of just have to dial it back sometimes and work a little bit harder and put balls on the court.
The only time the 28-year-old reached the final of a Grand Slam tournament was at the 2024 US Open. He has only one Big Title to his name, the 2022 Indian Wells Masters, which he won by defeating Rafael Nadal.
And you know, if the person is having a good day and they can attack me and hurt me, then I kind of just have to accept that, because there are some days where I feel like if I try to be aggressive, I’ll just miss, and I kind of just have to have to grind a bit.
Taylor Fritz added
This year in Majors, Fritz has made just one quarterfinal, and it was at Wimbledon. He lost to eventual runner-up Alexander Zverev.
