Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua remains a superfight that the boxing world is eager to see for a long time. The matchup should have happened a couple of years ago when the duo were in their prime. However, politics in the sport of boxing has prevented the matchup from materializing so far.

No official announcements have come despite optimism from Turki Alalshikh and Dana White. For months, White has acted he knows details that the rest of the fanbase doesn’t during various press conferences. Right now, the delay is happening due to Joshua and Eddie Hearn’s specific demands.

Joshua and Hearn wants the superfight to happen in the UK as both boxers come from there. However, it is Alalshikh and Netflix that are footing the bill and wants the bout to happen at the Madison Square Garden Arena.

Fury is now angered with all the delays and other demands issued by Hearn. This led the former heavyweight champion to go online and blast Eddie Hearn while simultaneously issuing praise for UFC CEO Dana White.

Before I forget, I’d just like to thank Dana White for making this fight happen, making this deal happen with Netflix and getting it all over the line. You did an amazing job, mate. Even if Eddie’s a little jealous, and hasn’t got the guts to come out and say he had nothing to do with it, I’m a man and I can give another man respect for doing something great that Eddie and his mates tried to do for years and never do.

Fury continued the segment by praising the UFC CEO as an “absolute legend” and an “all-around top guy.” The British superstar ended his message by inviting White to the press conferences as reports suggest that Hearn is trying to block the involvement of White and TKO Group Holdings.

White has always been a fan of Fury, but his friendship with Hearn has taken a hit following the launch of Zuffa Boxing. Hearn continues to talk trash while White fires back when asked about Hearn during press conferences.

For now, nothing has been finalized. Considering that Alalshikh and Netflix wants the superfight to happen in November, the announcements and training camp has to start soon as there is only two months left till the rumored date.

Despite the Matchroom Boxing promoter doing everything in his power to block the involvement of Dana White, it is in direct opposition to what the ‘Gypsy King’ wants.

The negotiations for Fury vs Joshua has drawn out for months. After the Gypsy King defeated Arslanbek Makhmudov in April, many people thought that the announcement of the superfight was close. Even Turki Alalshikh promised it will happen in 2026.

Five months later, nothing remains finalized. One of the stumbling blocks has been the demands presented by Eddie Hearn. He has used the contract to suggest that Dana White cannot promote the fight. However, Fury came out and said that Hearn cannot promote anything.

And another thing, Eddie Hearn can’t promote anything because he’s not the promoter. It’s in the contract that Eddie Hearn can’t promote this fight. So, believe that. Eddie Hearn is a sausage, he can’t promote this fight. Dana White is promoting this fight… Dana White made this happen with Turki Alalshikh, TKO, and Netflix.

To finish his Instagram Stories post, Fury revealed that Hearn was just working for ‘AJ’ and remained adamant that the Matchroom Boxing promoter doesn’t get a say in anything.

It remains to be seen how Hearn will respond to the claims made by the Gypsy King as he is not someone who will always respond.
