UFC 332 had less hype for a numbered event due to the lack of star power involved. Nevertheless, the main card had three TKO finishes while Natalia Silva became the new flyweight queen. 40-year-old Bobby “King” Green couldn’t overcome his younger opponent in the featured bout of the card.
The co-main event saw rising star Payton Talbott TKO veteran Deiveson Figueiredo in the first round. UFC newcomer Roberto Soldic defeated Khaos Williams via decision after a dominant performance.
Meanwhile, middleweight prospect Ateba Gautier lost for the first time in the UFC. His opponent, Roman Kopylov, needed less than 4 minutes to fraud check Gautier.
Apart from the Talbott vs ‘Figgy’, there were no more ranked contenders bout on the UFC 332 main card. This is why UFC 332 received more hate from fans since its announcement. Nevertheless, the event in Salt Lake City had plenty of action-packed bouts.
Former champion Valentina Shevchenko vacated her title due to an injury that will keep her out for a year. This led to the UFC booking Silva vs Wang Cong for the vacant title.
Cong is popular among the fanbase due to her striking style and Joker gimmick. Meanwhile, Natalia Silva beat three former champions in a row (Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso, and Rose Namajunas) before getting the title shot.
At UFC 332, Silva’s style of constant movement to make her opponent go for the chase and counterstrike worked perfectly.
The Brazilian star landed 109 significant strikes with a 50.5 percent accuracy, landed 3 takedowns from five efforts and even landed a knockdown.

In the end, judges scored the bout 48-47,48-47, and 49-46 to crown Natalia Silva as the new champion. Silva is now the fourth women’s flyweight champion in the UFC and is on a 15-fight winning streak.
With Shevchenko out of the picture for now, contenders like Grasso and others will be on high alert. It remains to be seen how great of a champion Silva can become in the future.
King Green loses at UFC 332 and calls out referee Herb Dean
UFC veteran King Green has been with the promotion for over 13 years. After turning 40 last month, the veteran aimed to keep his momentum going to one day fight for the BMF title. However, Esteban Ribovics crushed his dreams with three knockdowns to end the bout.

Green did suffer a lot of damage in the bout, but he was not completely out when Herb Dean stopped the fight. The veteran complained about the stoppage soon after. While he was leaving the arena, Green was seen saying he needed a bit more time.

After leaving the arena, Green posted a video on his social media account. The California native revealed that he told the referee to let him go out on shield, but that didn’t happen.
I’m a little mad. I told Herb, ‘this is gonna get sticky, let me go on my shield’. I was still fine. I wanted to keep fighting. was still fine, I felt like we were getting somewhere, but it was a great fight. I’ll be back very soon.

The complaints against Herb Dean keep rising after Alex Pereira turned the MMA community against the referee. Multiple fighters including Henry Cejudo and Alexander Volkanovski have come out as a united front against refereeing mistakes.
Dana White also pitched in his thoughts about Dean’s stoppage at UFC 332. The UFC CEO admitted that the veteran referee had a bad year.
King Green is a very active fighter and will likely return for another bout later this year or early next year. Meanwhile, Ribovics is on a two-fight winning run and could fight a ranked opponent next.
