After being dropped by Alfa Romeo for the 2022 Formula 1 season, it seems like Antonio Giovinazzi has decided to join the Formula E, switching to Dragon Penske. After Alfa Romeo was not able to secure a decent 2021 season, it seems like the team is going to take drastic measure. As a result of which Valtteri Bottas will be joined by 22-years-old Guanyu Zhou, who will be China’s first F1 driver.
Although Antonio revealed his frustration early on with the result, yet it seems like Formula E will be next to witness the skill set of the 27-years-old Italian driver.
What was revealed by Antonio Giovinazzi?
He said on his social media as quoted by GPBlog, “As soon as it was announced that I would not be racing in Formula 1 next year, I decided to enter the Formula E World Championship. It is a series that I have always followed and I am really looking forward to being part of Dragon Penske in this all-electric class, which I tested for three years ago. I want to thank Jay Penske, who immediately showed great interest in getting me on board.”
