Premier League: Chelsea vs Manchester United player ratings as the match ends in a 1-1 draw

Chelsea vs Manchester United: It was an exhilarating contest of football between the two giants of football. Manchester United faced the current league table toppers Chelsea at their home turf, Stamford Bridge.

The first-half began with a rather dominant one by the home side. As the two teams went goalless into the second half, a miraculous moment occurred for Manchester. A failed attempt led to a counter attack and Jadon Sancho did a brilliant job to finish in the back of the net to bring the lead to United.

However, a harsh foul on Silva earned Chelsea a penalty and Jorginho took the onus of that as usual. He sent the keeper diving down the wrong side as the scores were equalised. The match ended in a 1-1 draw with a lot of drama.

Edouard Mendy (GK) (6.2/10) : He didn’t have one of the best games. The man with the gloves has been spectacular but he made one too many mistakes. One of his errors even led to a shot being taken at goal.

Trevoh Chalobah (6.9/10) : Apart from winning a couple of Interceptions and tackles, Chalobah lost possession on one too many occasions.

Thiago Silva (7.5/10) : Silva was brilliant with defending and moving the ball around with others. He ensured that the game went smoothly and he also won a penalty for a harsh foul at him.

Antonio Rüdiger (7.1/10) : The most unfortunate player on the pitch. He had two good occasions to get goal for Chelsea but we failed on both occasions. An unlucky string of shots.

Reece James (6.9/10) : James was always so brilliant with his efforts, he got himself three attempts at goal but he was off target on all of them occasions. However, he lost possession a bunch of times.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek (6.4/10) : An average game for Ruben. He did really well with winning ground or aerial duels but failed at keeping possession of the ball.

Jorginho (7/10) : The Italian was bestowed with the opportunity to take a penalty. He took it with open arms and scored the all-important equaliser.

Marcos Alonso (7.5/10) : Alonso was really caught up in the game as he was one of the most proactive players. However, he lost possession quite a few times. Although, he did put up a great show.

Hakim Ziyech (7.5/10) : Ziyech was really quick with his feet and had one too many attempts at goal. He had a total of four which weren’t converted and two of his attempts blocked in defence.

Callum Hudson-Odoi (6.8/10) : He missed out on a huge goal scoring opportunity which really cost his team what could’ve been a remarkable win. He did have two on target attempts but de gea saved it nicely.

Timo Werner (6.4/10) : Timo Werner had made several off target attempts as he was the one to take responsibility on multiple occasions to get a goal. However, he got his shot blocked on most occasions.

Manchester United

David De Gea (GK) (7.2/10) : De Gea was the real saviour for Manchester United as he made one too many saves from Inside the box that kept the scoreline to 1-1 and helped United perform well.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka (7.3/10) : Wan-bissaka played really well and he made some really valuable clearences and blocked as many as four good shots. However, he created a bad scenario but committing a penalty.

Victor Lindelöf (7/10) : Lindelöf did a magnificent job at making as many as nine clearences and blocked two incoming shots. He stood tall like an iron clad defender for United.

Eric Bailly (6.9/10) : It was a tough day at defending for Baily and United. He did a brilliant job at defending and clearing the ball and also earned a yellow card for time wasting.

Alex Telles (6.8/10) : Telles was really good with his feet and won quite a few tackles and ground duels. He did although lose possession on many occasions.

Scott McTominay (6.7/10) : McTominay did brilliantly well to hold back the Chelsea players in the midfield. He was always there to clear the ball and also won quite a few tackles.

Nemanja Matic (6.9/10) : Matic was really quick with his feet to win a plenty of ground duels. He also won quite a few tackles but did lose possession.

Fred (7/10) : Fred had one targeted shot but it was saved quite easily by Mendy. Easy pickings. However, he wasn’t really good with his passing and lost possession quite a few times.

Bruno Fernandes (6.2/10) : The United captain was really struggling to keep possession with himself and went it came to battling it out, he barely won any ground duels.

Jadon Sancho (7/10) : Sancho made a really good run in the 50th minute of the game and finished brilliantly at the back of the net courtesy of a magnificent counterattack by Manchester United.

Marcus Rashford (6.5/10) : Rashford barely created any goal scoring opportunities and wasn’t at his best game which resulted in his substitution for Lingard.
