It seems that PSG are finally up to speed and are finding their feet with the rejuvenated strikeforce and Kylian Mbappe and the French international has his say on how PSG should line up and also the best position for his teammate Lionel Messi. Mauricio Pochettino’s side extend their lead at the top of Ligue 1 after an impressive 5-1 win over Lille on Sunday.

Danilo Pereira scored a brace while Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe each scored once and centre back Prensel Kimpembe scored his first Ligue 1 goal for PSG as the Parisiens absolutely thumping the current league champions. To be fair it was surely a below par first half of the season for Pochettino and the star studded PSG squad, however the team is finally getting up to grips and it couldn’t have come at a better time than before the crucial Champions League round of 16 tie against Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe while speaking to Amazon Prime after Sunday’s win had his say as to how Paris should line up, “It’s better when Leo is in the middle? Yes, but I’m not the coach. Leo is a player who needs to be on the ball, to feel the game and the match to be involved. I think it’s a good position for him, he’s free, he can move around and take off.”

“Me, I can play everywhere. I started in the middle, then on the right and now on the left but I still have a certain freedom in my movements.” Mbappe added.

Paris are up against Spanish giants Real Madrid in the Champions League with the first leg of round of 16 tie set to played next week. Lionel Messi has made a slow start since his move from FC Barcelona, scoring just twice and providing six assists so far this season. However Pochettino and PSG will hope for stellar performance from the Argentine forward against Los Blancos just like from his La Liga days.

Neymar is also in contention to be available for selection for the game against Real Madrid and Kylian Mbappe says that the team will have to make changes the Brazilian’s return to the team. “We are fine like this but we’ll have to make room for Neymar, because he’s an important player who changes our team. We’ll see what happens when he comes back, and we hope he comes back as soon as possible.”
