Why isn’t there an event to close Chapter 3 of Season 1 of Fortnite?

Given the popularity of these Fortnite events, it may appear unusual that Epic would pass up easy wins. Well, the truth is that it’s probably time to take a break from Fortnite’s current content cycle. Here’s why we don’t think Fortnite will have an end-of-season event, and why we think that’s a good thing!

Fortnite events are frequently the pinnacle of any new season. As we near the end of Chapter 3 of Season 1, there’s a good chance we won’t see any new events to help usher in Season 2, but why?

Is there no Fortnite event at the end of the season?

No event files have been discovered based on the content released in Fortnite Update 19.40, which is thought to be the end of the season. As a result, there is unlikely to be a spectacular finale to Season 1 and the start of Season 2.

It’s possible that we’ll get a brief cutscene to help tie up the tale and transfer gamers into the next chapter. Because recent events have been of the greatest quality, many gamers have found themselves conflicted.

However, putting these events together is a difficult task, and as Fortnite Chapter 3 progresses, time and money are becoming increasingly scarce. It makes perfect sense not to generate anything in order to ensure the Chapter’s long-term quality and support.

Epic did an excellent job of ensuring that Chapter 2 concluded on a high note, and that gamers returned in large numbers for Chapter 3. The issue that Chapter 2 generated, on the other hand, was the expectation that events would take place at the end of each season. There were anticipation of a third-party contract to provide a large event, similar to what they did with Ariana Grande, if not at the end of the season.

The plot of Chapter 3 is moving along slowly, but it will soon pick up, and it will be great time for a major event. While there have been some disgruntled members of the community, it’s also worth noting that the shift to Chapter 3 took place over a year.

It makes more sense to drop it completely as opposed to giving it half the effort you could a few months later. I’m excited to welcome Fortnite Season 2 into the game and am curious as to how they will handle the transition.
