The modern-day G.O.A.T of the NBA, LeBron James has been one of the most outspoken players one might have ever seen in American Sports history. Be it against former President Donald Trump or perhaps UFC star Colby Covington. Moreover, the 37-year-old Lakers star has been evidently criticised and cussed by Covington, only in the attempts of triggering the King to come out and fight him. But now, he may have taken a stop over the line, which even has got the fight fans interested. 

To those who are not aware, the rivalry of LeBron James and Colby Covington took center stage when the 33-years-old beat Tyron Woodley in 2020. Covington publicly condemned LeBron and all other players who boycotted games during the Black Lives Matter movement.  

In the post-fight interview, Covington said, “Covington, who dedicated his win to first responders. You keep us safe, not these woke athletes. 

“I’m sick of these woke athletes and these spineless cowards like LeBron James.”

Now talking about the latest incident before the UFC 272 showdown between Colby Covington and Jorge Masvidal, the former decided to take center stage to call out LeBron James yet again. Surely as if the 37-year-old doesn’t have his plate full with his team’s depleted form in the 2021-22 NBA Season.  

Bringing all onto the same page, LeBron James has his history with right-wing republicans such as the whole drama between he and Kyle Rittenhouse. But Covington decided to call upon more controversy by calling out the Lakers’ marquee during this Friday’s weigh-ins. 

When the curtains were just about to close, Covington added the cherry on top and called out LeBron James in the most peculiar way. Which has triggered King James to finally lock horns against his long-0term critic, only to settle the dispute with fists, than anything else really. 

“Before I go, I want to say a big thank you to the real heroes and celebrities in this country. Not that woke, spineless coward like LeBron James. I’m talking about our heroes, law enforcement, military, our first responders,” said Covington. “God bless you; God bless you all. God bless America.” 

Will LeBron be taking his time out to respond to Covington’s verbal attacks? Is what everybody will be keeping an eye open.
