Krafton is soon going to bring a new update to Battlegrounds Mobile India which will consist of the Anniversary themed game modes of PUBG Mobile. With the patch notes being already revealed, the release date of BGMI 1.9 update is also here for Indian players.

The arrival of Battlegrounds Mobile India has expanded the eSports scenario of the country as Krafton has already chalked out their plans for the current year with 4 major tournaments on line with a massive prize pool of 6 Crore. With BMOC registrations going on currently, Krafton also took care of releasing the BGMI 1.9 update as soon as possible.

BGMI 1.9 update release date

As announced on the patch notes, BGMI 1.9 update is going to bring a lot of content for the players which might compel the players to download the update as soon as they can. As PUBG Mobile has already started pushing out the Anniversary update, BGMI players have been ardently waiting for the update to be released in the Indian version of PUBG Mobile.

It was announced earlier today that BGMI 1.9 update will be released on March 18th, 2022 exclusively for the Indian users. Similar to the previous update time, it can be expected that the BGMI 1.9 update will be available on Android devices from March 18 (Fri) 05:30 IST to March 18 (Fri) 18:30 IST. For iOS, the update will be available from 16:00 IST. This time might differ considering different devices.

New features

Holi Dhamaka Mode

On the occasion of the Indian festival Holi, Krafton is going to bring a special Holi Dhamaka mode which is known as the Vibrant Anniversary Mode in PUBG Mobile. BGMI players will be able to see a now floating island where the players will automatically transform into a character wearing colorful headgears.

New vehicle

Players who wanted the Mountain bike vehicle to be added in the mobile version of PUBG can finally rejoice as the BGMI 1.9 update is going to add this bicycle that can be found scattered in different locations. Players can carry this vehicle in their backpack but it is important to note that they won’t be able to use their weapons when they ride the bicycle.

Cheer Park

Cheer Park is also one of the major upgradation for the next update as the developers will include a new racing track where players can take part in a minigame. Apart from that, several anniversary themed hoverboards and a new shooting area will be added to the revamped Cheer Park.
