Genshin Impact 2.6: How good and irresistible is Xiao’s signature artifact?

Xiao

In the upcoming Genshin Impact update 2.6, a new artefact set named Vermillion Hereafter will be introduced, which is specifically designed for Xiao. The five-star Anemo character, unlike other DPS units like Raiden Shogun, Ganyu, & Arataki Itto, does not have his own artefact set.

When a character’s health is depleted during an elemental burst, the bonus effects of the artefact set are designed to augment the character’s attacks. Other than Xiao, no other character currently loses health during an elemental burst. In future upgrades, Genshin Impact may bring more characters who will work well with this new item.

Following is a list of artefacts that have been set in the Genshin Impact system. ATK per cent is an extremely coveted stat for Xiao because he is a major DPS. As a result, the two-piece bonus, which increases ATK by 18%, is optimal.

However, several weeks after his first release, HoYoverse has finally included the Vermillion Hereafter set, which includes the following attributes:

  • 2-Piece: ATK + 18%
  • 4-Piece: The character will earn a stack called the Nascent Light affect after utilising an Elemental Burst, which will improve their ATK by 8% for 16 seconds. When a character’s health is depleted, their attack will increase by 10%. This effect can be activated once every 0.8 seconds, yielding a total of ATK+66 percent. When the character departs the field, the Nascent Light stack would be dissipated. The initial Nascent Light would be dispelled if an Elemental Burst is utilised again during duration of Nascent Light.

The four-piece set bonus, on the other hand, is quite specialised. During an Elemental Burst, it increases the wielder’s ATK by 8%, and when the character loses HP, it increases their attack by a further 66 per cent. This boost is clearly designed to benefit Xiao’s playstyle.

During the Elemental Burst, Xiao acquires the ability to leap high off the ground and use Plunging Attacks to deliver a lot of AoE Anemo DMG. With each Plunging Attack, though, he loses HP. The damage bonus from the Vermillion Hereafter artefact set makes up for it.

Xiao’s damage could be increased from 30,000  to 40,000, according to a recent showcase of the new artefact set in Genshin Impact 2.6. The tester, on the other hand, has the ideal numbers and weapon.

The Vermillion Hereafter set is recommended for Genshin Impact players that are still building Xiao and are unhappy with his damage. Others can skip the grind because the damage difference isn’t considerable.
