Finn Balor finally addressed his loss of the WWE United States Championship to Theory on the most recent episode of RAW. In the 2021 WWE Draft, the former Universal Champion was selected for the red brand. He defeated Damien Priest over two months ago to win the US championship for the first time in his career, but Theory ended his reign on Monday Night.

Finn Balor took to Twitter less than 24 hours later to express his disappointment with his title loss. He also included a photo from after the fight. “Falling down is how we grow. Staying down is how we die. STAND UP” – wrote Balor.

Finn Balor seems to be unable to win in TV battles, but winning in live events. In actuality, as champion, he went 2-4, with three of those defeats coming in tag team bouts in battle royals. As soon as Theory was introduced as the new United States Champion, Commander Azeez, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, Apollo Crews, and other heels rushed to the ring.

Finn Balor is one of the top performers on the WWE roster, and he holds the title of Universal Champion for the first time. Despite having the United States championship, he was kept off the WrestleMania 38 programme, along with a slew of other stars including WWE Intercontinental Champion Ricochet.

Former WWE head writer Vince Russo blasted Finn’s reign on this week’s edition of Legion of RAW with Dr. Chris Featherstone, claiming that it pulled him down:

“Bro, let me break this down for you. I can’t believe I’m saying this. This Finn Balor title reign actually brought him down a few notches. How does a guy win a title and then diminish his value? How does that happen, bro?” Russo questioned.

Vince McMahon walked out after Balor’s RAW bout against Theory to congratulate him and snap a photo with him. The new US Champion has a lot of support from the Chairman of the Board. The night following Survivor Series, Theory started working with Vince McMahon. He had previously been little more than a name on the list. Theory was featured on more shows once the plot about him stealing Mr. McMahon’s priceless Cleopatra’s Egg was revealed. He got career guidance from the WWE Chairman during the following several weeks, as the latter challenged Theory to prove himself.
