The Premier League is home to some of the highest-paid players in the world football. It attracts this generation’s megastars and has the financial clout that every other league aspires to. From a business standpoint, the league is the greatest in the world, with major TV deals and international broadcasting rights continuing to flood the game with riches galore.

The former-Borussia Dortmund player will pocket a memoth £375000 pw as his basic wages which is unbelievable for a 21 year old. With such high wages, Mannchester City will be hoping he could fire them to the elusive Champions League which they have been craving such their takeover in 2008.

3. Kevin De Bruyne (Manchester City) – £385,000 p/w

Third on the list is Premier League current best midfielder Kevin De Bruyne. The two time Premier league Player of the year and four time Premier League champion scored 15 and assisted a further 8 to help Manchester City win their fifth Premier League on the final day last season over arch rivals Liverpool.

His contract extension takes him to 2025 and if things go to plan for Pep Guardiola and his men, they could see their beloved midfielder surpass 200 league appearances for the club.

Similar to Manchester City’s midfield maestro KDB, Cristiano Ronaldo pockets a whopping £385,000 p/w from his employers Manchester United. Ronaldo’s previous earnings would’ve put him comfortably top of this list, but he opted for a slight pay cut in order to rejoin Manchester United.

Last season, Cristiano Ronaldo was the only standout performer for a disappointing Manchester United. The 37-year-old amassed 24 goals in 39 appearances for Manchester United. Eric ten Hag will be hoping Ronaldo can continue his splendid form as he prepared to welcome him to pre-season training soon.

1. Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £400,000 p/w

Newest entry to the list and topping the lavish list for the year is Liverpool’s Egyptian king Moahmed Salah. Mohamed Salah’s contract situation was one of Liverpool’s biggest headaches this summer. They had to tie down the Egyptian to a new deal or risk losing him for free next season.

Both parties had many failed negotiations as most thought Mohamed Salah would eventually leave the club. However, it seems the club finally caved to Salah’s demands as they reportedly offered him £400,000/week wages to make him stay at Anfield for longer.

Salah will now become not only Liverpool’s highest-paid player in the club’s history but also the Premier League highest paid player with his new contract. Salah’s contract runs down till June 2025 which would certainly not be his last big money contract as he has many more years at the top with Liverpool or any other top European club.
