Arsenal completed the signing of Gabriel Jesus for a fee of £45 million just a few days back while Tottenham Hotspurs signed Everton’s Richarlison for £60 million. Both Brazilain is promising young talents but former Aston Villa striker, Tony Cascarino has his pick.

Tottenham beat Arsenal to a Champions League spot on the final day of Premier League last season. Both clubs have made some huge signing early on in the summer to strengthen their squad with the club signing Brazilain strikers up top.

However, Tony Cascarino believes that Arsenal has gotten a better deal at signing Gabriel Jesus than Tottenham has got by signing Rcharliosn even though they paid £15 million more.

Gabriel Jesus branded ‘Better signing’ than Tottenham’s Richarlison

Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino said: “I think Gabriel Jesus ticks a lot more boxes and they’ve got him at a better price. If you said to me now who will get the most goals, I’d say Gabriel Jesus would get more goals than Richarlison for Tottenham.”

“And he’s more versatile than Richarlison. Gabriel Jesus has played left-wing right-wing and centre-forward for Man City. He’s got an incredible work ethic.”

“He plays every time I watch him as Richarlison did at the end of the season. I’d love to see Richarlison be the player he can be and get all of the other antics out of his game and become a far more complete player.”

In 236 games for Manchester City since 2017, Gabriel Jesus has scored 95 goals and provided 46 assists. On the other hand, Richarlison has managed 52 goals and 14 assists in 152 games for Everton.

While Gabriel Jesus did play alongside a world-class squad competing for the highest honours, the player did himself improve the team a lot. It will be interesting to see who can help their team more as they start their new chapters in North London.
