WATCH: Samuel Ilnicki lands a brutal head kick that shuts down his opponent at Golden Ticket Fight

Ilnikci's brutal KO over Rogers
Samuel Ilnicki is a professional fighter under the golden ticket fight championship banner in the regional circuit. The regional MMA scene is the only place you can still expect to see the late 90’s pit fighting vibes in MMA. Apart from dim lighting and a packed crowd that would be a claustrophobic person’s worst nightmare, another thing the circuit is known for is unexpected and wild finishes.
Samuel Ilnicki had one of these in his recent fight for the Golden Ticket Fight banner. Fighting out of Poland, Ilnicky is a still green MMA fighter, born in Poland and Fighting out of the Arte Suave MMA Gym in Denmark, with not much information available from other online outlets, Ilnicky’s latest record stands at 1-2 (Although these haven’t been updated since 2018.)
Apart from this his Instagram also reveals that he is working on his grappling acumen a lot of the time and is currently a blue belt in BJJ.
In Ilnicky’s first ever MMA bout, he won via a spectacular KO over Solomon Rogers in Round 2 of their fight. Fighting at an event GTF held in Wolverhampton, England, Ilnicky was paired against Johnson who was also making his debut. This spectacular knockout was recently shared by ESPN, making it a global highlight.

Samuel Ilnicki lands a heavy head kick to shut off Solomon Rogers at Golden Ticket Fighting

While the first round was quite even on both ends, Rogers would fall victim to one of the most brutal KO’s in recent MMA history. Looking to land his overhand right, Rogers would fall straight into a very heavily telegraphed kick by Ilnicky who connected right on the Englishmans’s chin.
The sheer impact of the connection seemingly shut down all functions in Rogers’ body for a brief second. He would go down to the floor like a corpse in the same position he was in while the kick connected, prompting an immediate referees stoppage. A class act, Ilnicky would pay respects to his fallen opponent by checking on him before he went on to celebrate his victory.
Talking about his loss to MMA Junkie’s Ben Fowlkes, Rogers would recount, “The last thing I saw was his leg coming up at me, I remember thinking, ‘Well, you’ve f**ked up big time, haven’t you?’” He would also say that it was surreal watching his clip go viral on YouTube and MMA Junkie itself as he frequented the website often and watching himself be the highlight of the day felt unreal for all the wrong reasons.
