It really is a big loss for the world of sports and especially the basketball community as we lost a legend of the game. He never limited himself to the basketball court and got the job done off the court too. He was an important part of the African-American society as he really was much more than an athlete. He was also known for being a powerful civil leader, who actually brought in changes and paved the way for others. He has really achieved many unthinkable greats back in the days. Bill Russell was also an All-Time winner who successfully won in his life too knowing the correct purpose and doing the rightful actions. He was also one of the most influential guys out there whose suggestions and pieces of advice were always accepted and respected.

Today, Bill Russell is no more between us but his legendary legacy stays which is very hard to match. Bill Russell has 11 NBA titles (Celtics Legend and HOF) registered under his name and had a winning streak for 8 straight seasons. He holds the NBA Finals records for championships, appearances, games played, rebounds and minutes. He also has two NCAA Titles, an Olympic Gold Medal and multiple individual honors like he’s a member of NBA’s Greatest Ever 25th, 50th and 75th Anniversary teams and the list isn’t just limited to the above mentioned things. He was also honored with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and NBA Lifetime Achievement Award for his off-the-court greats where he made attempts to make the world a better place to live.

Bill Russell’s death has really shaken the world as it wasn’t expected and many big names around the globe are left in shock. His fans weren’t just the guys who knew Ball.
