Cloud9 reveals Valorant Roster for 2022-23, El Diablo to continue

Jacob 'Yay' Whiteaker
Cloud9 has gone ahead and revealed their entire competing Valorant roster for 2022-23 season, with a few not-so-surprising names making it to the big stage once again. Over the past few years, Cloud9 has been one of the top teams boasting some of the greatest names in the NA competitive region. However, they have always come short of the holy grail- The Valorant Champions trophy. This time around though, they are determined to turn the tides. Cloud9 has brought in El Diablo from OpTic Gaming, and a lot of the team’s hopes will be riding on the enigmatic duelist.
The updated Valorant roster for Cloud9 is quite impressive
Anthony ‘Vanity’ Malaspina joins the roster with an infamous record of wielding the judge in clutch situations, although this time around, he has quite deadly support around him. Playing as a controller-sentinel hybrid, Vanity is the man to take charge of all the strategizing as the team moves into the later stages. As a former Counter Strike turned Valorant professional, Vanity knows exactly how to set off his opponents, and his experience will turn out to be a valuable asset for the team.
Continuing form last year, Nathan ‘leaf’ Orf and Erik ‘Xeppaa’ Bach are going to be two big hitters from whom the team would demand a bit more stability from. In the previous tournaments, both have been known for taking unnecessary risks, costing their team a place in the championship. However, this time around, these two will act as the mainstay form the team to play around them.

Jordan ‘Zellsis’ Montemurro makes his return into the Valorant roster once again, and this time he will be out for blood. And obviously, with Jacob ‘Yay’ Whitaker pushing him, the clutch god will have to create some distinct gameplay of his own in order to keep up with this intensely competitive roster. Yay has long been been known for being one of the strongest operator users in the game for a long time, with only Asuna perhaps as a close rival.
This time around, mCE will join as the head coach, that makes the present roster mighty impressive. Cloud9 this time around feels like a different team, with a fine blend of the top players, and all eyes will be on El Diablo to see if he can lead Cloud9 to similar glory as he did with Optic Gaming in Valorant Champions 2022.
