Jagan Mohan Reddy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh urged the Union Ministry of communications, Electronics, and Information Technology. Directing all Internet service providers to block all online gaming, gambling, and betting websites from access in the state.

Wrote a letter expressing his views on online Gaming websites that have moved very fast in catching up with Social evil. has led to youth getting involved in vices like gambling and betting from the comfort of their home through their mobile phones and computers.’’ According to Jagan adding Gambling or Betting in Usual form can be easily identified, but online it remains anonymous.

Jagan has amended the AP Gaming Act, 1974, to include online gaming, gambling and betting websites as cognizable.

He further added saying any service provider assisting the operation will be punishable by the law.

He termed the word ‘assisting’ saying that “The role of internet service providers can be termed as assisting in case they do not take steps to block access to these websites in the areas where it is illegal.’’

The Andhra Government has instructed all the ISPs to block all online gambling, gaming and betting sites.

During the lockdown of the Pandemic Covid 19 many people have kept themselves entertained in these websites. This has brought a lot of Social Evil and people are involving themselves more into wrong things.
