Austrian Dominic Thiem has finally broken into the Top 3 category in tennis, according to Tim Henman. Thiem’s performance in this year’s US Open has now put the young star firmly among the favorites for any tournament.
Where does Thiem rank then?

Asked if he ranks Thiem as the third-best behind Djokovic and Nadal, Henman said, “yes, I do.”
When asked about Zverev, Henman said, “I think Zverev – given the challenges in his tennis game, he’s had a very unreliable second serve… I was very pleased that Thiem won that [US Open final], and that’s nothing against Zverev,” as quoted by Tennis Head.
Thiem’s continuous improvement and his Masters 1000 title wins on hard courts contributed to his US Open success. The Austrian has previously reached a couple of French Open and the Australian Open finals.
Henman expects Thiem to rise to the top in no time seeing his constant progression in the sport.
