The New York Yankees recently released a statement on social media after Little League coach Bob Laterza claimed team captain Aaron Judge did not spend enough time with his South Shore Little League team. Their statement revealed a different side of the story compared to what the Staten Island coach said.
The statement noted that their entire roster spent the day in Williamsport interacting with the young baseball aspirants as much as they could. They were with them until their own game against the Tigers where the Yanks unfortunately lost 3-2.

The organization further added that they all want this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the Little Leaguers to be special and have done everything they and their players can to ensure it happens. A part of the statement read,
We commend all our players for devoting their complete attention to the hundreds of kids who literally walked step-by-step alongside them from the moment the Yankees landed in Williamsport through the entirety of the evening.New York Yankees statement as per Dan Martin of NY Post.

Both NY Yankees captain Aaron Judge and manager Aaron Boone spoke about the allegations saying they don’t want to delve into this further. Judge noted how he wanted to take the precious memories of that day and put the rest aside. Boone on the other hand noted, “Aaron Judge is as good as it gets.”
Bob Laterza rips Aaron Judge for not spending enough time with his Little League team
Staten Island team coach Bob Laterza blasted Aaron Judge after the Little League Classic on social media stating the captain ignored the kids waving at him from the stands during the game. He pointed out how Judge specifically failed to acknowledge his team leaving the kids “disappointed.”

Laterza further went ahead to add how they are the ones paying Judge his salary and he should do his part to acknowledge and spend time with the kids. He said,
How about turning around or wave to New York and the kids that think you’re a hero? They are the ones who pay your salary. They were disappointed. Maybe he’ll want to make up for it and come and see them.Bob Laterza as per Silive.com.

The Yankees weren’t too pleased with Laterza’s bombastic comments on social media and fired back saying, they would invite their team either way regardless of the coach’s actions. They claimed it would’ve been better had the coach contacted them directly about this rather than making it into a public outburst.

Supporting Judge they said, he “always acts with kindness and respect”, and the “coach could learn a lot from him.” Judge said “I’ve got no response for that” especially since it’s related to kids. Boone shared the same sentiment saying, “I’m not even going to dignify that with a response.”
