Aaron Rodgers has spoken out against the American government once again. While speaking with renowned TV personality Tucker Carlson, the New York Jets quarterback spoke about one of his heroes, Pat Tillman, who left the NFL and died in 2004 while serving the army.
Rodgers blamed the government for the death of the former Arizona Cardinals player and alleged that the higher-ups used his death to instigate wars. To this day, Tillman’s death remains a mystery because his army uniform was burned and his daily journal was nowhere to be found.
Another one of my heroes [is Pat Tillman], who left the NFL to join the army. You know, his death is very suspicious as well, not the fact we know that he was killed by friendly fire but the way they handled his body afterwards. His uniform, confiscating his last journal, using his death to prop up the war propaganda.Aaron Rodgers told Tucker Carlson
Tillman set out to join the Army in 2002 when Rodgers was playing college football for the California Golden Bears.
Aaron Rodgers claimed he was a Patriot because of Pat Tillman’s influence
The 40-year-old further added that he sees himself as one of the Patriots who don’t shy away from criticizing the government, no matter who’s in power.
There's been a lot of great people in history who are super patriotic and who have questioned their government, and I think that's what I've done since.Aaron Rodgers said
The official statement about Tillman’s journal stated that the investigators failed to locate it among his belongings.
Witnesses testified that CPL Tillman maintained a personal journal and that, after his death, unit personnel searched for the journal but failed to locate it.the documents noted
Tillman was soaked in blood when they found him. They promptly burned his uniform out of fear that it would have morphed into a biohazard.
Rodgers didn’t forget to endorse Robert F. Kennedy
After making his stand clear on Tillman, Rodgers turned his attention to the upcoming presidential election. The Super Bowl winner once again endorsed independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
I think he [Robert] F. Kennedy Jr. loves standing up to the man, to the big corruption. [I mean, look at his life and what he's done.] He's gone after the EPA forever, and he gets s*** for his vaccine stance, but he was never a part of that.Aaron Rodgers said
Rodgers was close to becoming the VC candidate for Kennedy. Fortunately for the Jets, the four-time NFL MVP decided to opt out of it and focus on being a quarterback for the Gang Green. The Jets will play against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 on September 9.
