Every player starting the 2024 NFL season wanted to play and win a Super Bowl. The likes of Aaron Rodgers were hoping to lead his New York Jets to Super Bowl LIX and play in New Orleans this weekend. But instead, it will be between Patrick Mahomes and Jalen Hurts.
The Philadelphia Eagles are formidable enough to be considered having a 50-50 chance of winning the game. They are stacked from top to bottom and pound for pound are considered the better team. That has some believing they could stop the Chiefs on their three-peat quest.
The Kansas City Chiefs have won the last two and are favored to be the first team in NFL history to win a third-straight ring. Fans and many in the media believe the team has the edge when it comes to these games. However, Aaron Rodgers had a different take.
It seems like it could be Philly’s year. There’s always that momentum that plays into it. They had the right amount of turmoil mid-season…. Saquon’s been the best non-quarterback in the league all season. I think it’s going to be a great game.
Aaron Rodgers said in chat with Kira K. Dixon of the Golf Today

The 41-year-old believes the momentum the Philadelphia Eagles have could see them winning it all. He has seen Saquon Barkley‘s performances all season to believe the running back could determine the outcome. Along with it, he believes they took care of adversity in the middle of the season and now are in the best form to win Super Bowl LIX.
Aaron Rodgers won’t count out Patrick Mahomes and Chiefs
Aaron Rodgers knows this Super Bowl LIX could be a close battle between two elite teams. He already outlined how the Philadelphia Eagles can beat the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he did add a caveat on how things can change in the fourth quarter.

It’s going to come down to the fourth quarter. Chiefs have won seven or eight games in the fourth quarter this year so, it will be tough to bet against them.
Aaron Rodgers added
The four-time league MVP has seen how the Chiefs have performed in fourth quarter situations as well as overtime. He echoed what other quarterbacks in the league know that towards the end of the game, if Patrick Mahomes has the ball in his hands, it is essentially game over for them.
Rodgers will probably watch Super Bowl LIX as will more than 100 million fans worldwide. The superstar could have made it to New Orleans, but he was playing golf at the WM Phoenix Open. The four-time league MVP did reveal that he has been speaking with the New York Jets as he looks towards one more chance at winning a ring.
