Usually, whenever Aaron Rodgers speaks, the outcome is either laced with sarcasm, classic good old humor, diplomacy, or, in some cases, thinly veiled attacks on others.
Out of those, the first three instances generally remain on the minds of journalists, analysts, and fans for around a day or two. But when he criticizes anyone, that becomes important enough to linger in everyone’s minds for a while.
Even though most of the attention is now on Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, some found one of Rodgers’ comments to be something that was directed at his receivers.
The likes of Skip Bayless went all out to label the veteran QB a ‘diva’ and questioned what he gained by going after the very players who have played a major part in his success.
What I was talking about was during the week we have our meetings on Thursdays. I meant that everybody come there with an open mind, and be self-critical, and work on the things you’ve got to work on. Let’s get better. As far as any off the field stuff, I’m not going to talk about it.
Aaron Rodgers told Brooke Pryor
This was the 4-time league MVP’s response when the ESPN reporter quizzed him about what he allegedly said after their embarrassing loss to the Buffalo Bills.
That’s incorrect. I asked and he answered. Here’s the exchange ⬇️ https://t.co/8o45TPH9Q8 pic.twitter.com/U618Y7L5GT

Brooke Pryor pointed out that many had termed Rodgers’ comments as being directed at his receiving unit, but when she pressed him about it, it turned out to be anything but that. It seems it was a case of taking what he said and running with it.
Aaron Rodgers’ receiver refutes ‘criticism’ claims
The last time Aaron Rodgers actually took shots at one of his receivers, the latter ended up on the Pittsburgh Steelers, as he was seemingly pushed out of their former team.

The thought was that once the now-42-year-old is ticked off with a teammate, their relationship is generally over. But in this situation, thankfully, none of his current receivers have been affected by his recent comments.
I don’t think it was a shot. Maybe it could have been taken out of context, but as much as I’ve been around, all the guys have been to meetings.
Brooke Pryor quoted Jonnu Smith
The tight end reiterated to the journalist that none of his teammates took Rodgers’ comments as a shot, as everyone has been making it to meetings. Instead, he believes some sections of the media blew it out of proportion.
Jonnu Smith told me he didn't think Rodgers' comments about everyone showing up to film sessions was a "shot."

It seems the Steelers’ receivers are on the same page with their signal caller. The only thing that could prove that is if they improve as a unit, especially after the way they were embarrassed by the Bills.
Aaron Rodgers does not believe Steelers are in ‘Panic’ mode
After that humiliating loss, Steelers fans have been calling for Mike Tomlin’s head, along with the front office, to hit the reset button on this team. However, Aaron Rodgers is yet to panic.
I don’t feel like this team has a freak-out or a panic that I need to send a message out to the zeitgeist that everyone needs to just relax. We’ve been playing inconsistent football, but we just have to play better.
Aaron Rodgers told Brooke Pryor
The Super Bowl champion QB reiterated that he has the utmost confidence in not just his coaches, but also his teammates. He believes the team can work through whatever was missing last game.
Aaron Rodgers says he’s not sending a “RELAX” message to team: “I don’t feel like this team has a freak out or a panic that I need to send a message out to the zeitgeist that everyone needs to just relax. Then the California native also mentioned how he believes he and his teammates will head into Week 14 with the intention of playing better than they did last time.
