Aaron Rodgers could become Davante Adams’ adversary if this NFC team signs the Super Bowl winner
The Seattle Seahawks have requested to meet with Aaron Rodgers but they will not be able to sign his former teammate Davante Adams as he joined the Los Angeles Rams.

Contrary to the popular perception, Aaron Rodgers does have a healthy market in free agency. According to the whispers around the league, the Super Bowl winner is the No. 1 target for the Seattle Seahawks.
Following his release from the New York Jets earlier this year, Rodgers remains without a team, but several seem to be interested in him. Names such as the New York Giants, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and even the Tennessee Titans lead the pack, but a couple of moves in the last few days pushed the Seahawks among the places Rodgers can find himself in 2025.
The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported on Sunday that the Seahawks will meet with Rodgers and his representatives to fill the vacant quarterback spot.

The Seattle-based team has been the busiest in the league, trading away players such as DK Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers, releasing veteran Tyler Lockett, and offloading QB Geno Smith to the Las Vegas Raiders.
Smith’s trade came as a shock for many as the Seahawks are left with just Sam Howell in the QB department. A move for Rodgers might give them a good opportunity to keep a competitive edge in their division. After all the spending, the Seahawks currently have a cap space of $68.7 million to work with, which should be more than sufficient to cover Rodgers’s salary and add a WR 1.
Aaron Rodgers will not have Davante Adams by his side
If the Seahawks sign the 41-year-old QB, then he has to do it without his trusted receiver friend Davante Adams. The 3x All-Pro wideout signed a two-year, $46 million deal with the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, continuing the receiver merry-go-round.

If the Seahawks sign Rodgers, then he and Adams will face each other twice a year because both teams are part of the NFC West, which the Rams won in 2024 despite sharing an identical 10-7 record.
Moreover, Rodgers can mentor Howell, and despite what most believe, ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler revealed that the Super Bowl winner is very good with young QBs.
It’s interesting that talking to people around the league, despite Aaron Rodgers’ unique personality I would say, he is known for being good with younger quarterbacks; Zach Wilson, Jordan Love, he is a good shepherd in that regard.
Jeremy Fowler said during a recent appearance on SportsCenter
Rodgers may be pushing close to 42, but he still capped off a decent season in 2024. He threw for 3897 yards and 28 touchdowns in 17 games.
