Aaron Rodgers is facing a difficult time as he closes in on the last game of this regular season. His twentieth, and the second with the New York Jets did not go as planned. In the aftermath of that questions about his future keep cropping up.
Those questions came about after the 41-year-old struggled to play to his usual best. He had won four league MVPs on the back of his precision and decision making on the field. However, those skills went missing this season as he could not exploit an offense featuring a stud group of players.
Before the upcoming game against the Miami Dolphins, reporters gathered at the New York Jets facilities to ask questions to players, coaches and front office staff. When it was the superstar quarterback’s turn, a reporter asked him what he felt about the two years he spent with the Jets.

Aaron Rodgers could finish season with career milestone
The reporters present asked Aaron Rodgers a lot of questions pertaining to his future. As he kept answering them, one reporter asked him if he would like to finish the season with 500 career touchdowns. Knowing he is currently standing at 499, the California native said.
With this answer, the superstar quarterback suggested he would be fine 20 years later in his life if he knew he finished with 499 touchdowns. This answer went along the lines of his other answers where it started to sound as if he was retiring after this season.
"I'd be fine sleeping in my bed 20 years from now with 499, but 500 definitely looks better on paper"

He did say that he would wait to see what the new regime at the New York Jets would decide. With next to no options open for him to continue playing elsewhere, if the Jets move on from him, January 5th could be the last time Aaron Rodgers plays a professional football game.
