The former Green Bay Packers and New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers is set to join free agency in a few weeks. The 41-year-old was let go by the New York Jets after two unsuccessful seasons, one of which he spent on the sidelines due to an Achilles injury.
The New York Jets expected the four-time NFL MVP to end their longstanding drought. However, once again they finished out of the playoffs, ending up third behind the Buffalo Bills and the Miami Dolphins. The Jets, one of the pioneering teams in the league have only won the title once in the third season.
Aaron Rodgers, in the latest reveal-all, admitted he hoped for two things in his new team, after a training session in sunny California. Rodgers, whom the Jets openly revealed they didn’t want him, expressed that he wants to play for a team that wants him. After all, belongingness and love are ranked third in Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs.
Rodgers also confessed that he expects a talent pool surrounding him. The New York Jets was comparatively a very scarce talented team, forcing Rodgers to bring in someone like Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders.

Retirement home, media floated as next options for Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is expected to join a new team this offseason, but Pittsburgh Steelers safety DeShon Elliott has made it clear he does not want the four-time MVP in Pittsburgh.

Elliott expressed his stance on social media after an aggregator account on Instagram suggested the Steelers as a potential destination for Rodgers. In response, Elliott commented, “Leave his a*s at the retirement home,“ signaling his disapproval of the idea.
Although the comment appears to have been deleted, it was widely seen before its removal, sparking discussion among fans and analysts.

Domonique Foxworth, an analyst, floated another avenue Aaron Rodgers can pursue. Foxworth stated that he believed media would be a greater fit for the 41-year-old than finding a fitting NFL team.
I think Aaron Rodgers might transition to the media. It’s really hard to find a spot where Aaron Rodgers fits. Because he’s a guy who I don’t really see as a bridge QB, or someone who’s going to sit behind a younger QB and tutor him. But he is a guy who seems to really like to hear his voice, and should go to media. Maybe he’ll do a podcast.

Aaron Rodgers is no camera-shy man and could do extremely well in media and the limelight. His weekly appearances in Pat McAfee’s show could have been the perfect pre-trial for stepping into the broadcasting section of the league.
