Aaron Rodgers isn’t ready to give up just yet. He has ambitions of playing with the New York Jets beyond the 2024 season, but he will also accept whatever the organization’s top brass decides in the offseason.
The Jets are technically still in playoff contention with than 2% chance after boasting a 3-9 record. Their record became worse after firing Robert Saleh—lost five games to one win.
At the heart of the Jets’ disastrous season is Aaron Rodgers. In 12 games, the Super Bowl winner has a completion percentage of 62.5% and the lowest quarterback rating (87.5) of his two-decade career.
On top of the subpar numbers, Rodgers’ polarizing comments dug the Jets several PR hellholes to deal with.
Despite all of it, Rodgers wants to continue playing football with the Jets. He bought a house in Jersey and played a hand in signing Davante Adams. All signs point to staying for a longer duration.
"I just redid my house here in Jersey. My goal was to play a few more years here. I'd like to play well and feel like I'm wanted back. If not, I will not be offended, I won't be upset"

On Wednesday, the Jets veteran signal-caller spoke with the media, and when the reporters asked if he is sticking around in New York, Aaron Rodgers had a straight forward response.
Aaron Rodgers doesn’t rule out playing elsewhere
The Jets brought in the former Green Bay Packers under center as a bridge quarterback while they figure out their franchise man for the future. Zach Wilson didn’t work out; he ended up joining the Denver Broncos.
The front office has another opportunity to make amends by drafting a high-profile rookie quarterback and letting him learn under Rodgers for one or possibly two years before moving him on.
However, the decision rests solely on the Jets hierarchy and even the new head coach. Rodgers revealed he has all the options open on his table.
The Jets play against divisional rivals, the Miami Dolphins next, a team they have lost to on eight occasions in their last 10 meetings. A win for either side will not make much difference, but if the Jets lose the game, they will become the fourth team eliminated from playoff contention, alongside the Patriots, Jaguars, Raiders, and Giants. According to NBC Sports, the Dolphins are -278 favorites to beat the Jets in week 14.
