Monday was very eventful for Aaron Rodgers. He and the Jets had to play the Buffalo Bills in prime time for the #1 spot in the AFC East while the gossip mongers peddled Davante Adams’ trade rumors.
Rodgers threw two touchdowns for nearly 300 passing yards, but an untimely interception and Josh Allen’s match-winning performance gave the Bills the win. Late at night, the 40-year-old quarterback received a call when he was on his way back to his condo, which he ignored.
It was a call from Adams. Rodgers finally answered it and met with a big surprise. His former Green Bay Packers teammate was flying in from Vegas to New York to finalize his move to the Jets.

Davante Adams called Aaron Rodgers after midnight very early Tuesday morning & told him he was getting on a plane.
Rodgers said his ‘heart dropped’ then he asked to where?
Adams said ‘New York.’ ?

Davante Adams will stay with Aaron Rodgers in New York
It has been more than two and a half years since fans witnessed Adams and Rodgers share the football field together at Green Bay. Both will still wear green, just the Jets’ green and not the Packers’ green. For the time being, the 6x Pro Bowler will crash at Rodgers’ place in the Big Apple.
According to reports from ESPN’s Rich Cimini and NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo, the Jets sent a conditional third-round pick to the Raiders in exchange for Adams. It may be upgraded to a second-round pick depending on a few conditions.
The details of his contract remain confidential for the time being. Regardless, it’s a massive moment for fans of New York to have an offense comprised of Adams, Garrett Wilson, Mike Williams, Breece Hall, Braelon Allan, and Malachi Corley.
Rodgers and Adams tormented every defense they played against during their stint with the Packers. Adams caught 622 passes for 7,590 yards and 69 touchdowns in 108 games. When asked if he plans to stick around in New York for longer than a year, Adams seemed hopeful.

Even though it has only been a few hours, Jets interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich announced that Adams will play for the Jets when they meet the Steelers in Week 7.
The 31-year-old so far has played three games in 2024 and caught 18 passes for 209 yards (11.6 yards per catch) and one touchdown.
