As if the trip to London could not go any wrong, veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed picking up another injury as the New York Jets lost against the Minnesota Vikings. Rodgers had arguably one of his worst first-half performances in his two-decade-long NFL career.
Through the first two quarters, Rodgers completed just 3 passes, with two of them being interceptions. On one hand, the Jets’ offense struggled; on the other, their former quarterback, Sam Darnold, gave the Vikings a 17-0 lead.
It stayed that way until Rodgers reduced the gap by connecting with Allen Lazard, who paid a hefty fine earlier in the week. The Jets finally seemed to stitch a few passes until a Vikings pass rush left the 40-year-old in pain.
In the third quarter, Vikings defender Jihad Ward hit Rodgers’ right side after he released the ball with Jonathan Greenard, and Pat Jones closed the gap. Replays showed the Jets quarterback tumbling down awkwardly.

Grabbing at his left knee after this hit but walked off on his own and is back into the game.
Appears to be mild shearing at the knee and inward torque so possible mild MCL sprain but he’s playing so can’t be too severe.

The Jets medical team rushed in fearful of another bad ACL injury. Fortunately for the Gang Green supporters, Rodgers continued in the game and outscored the Vikings 10-6 in the second half by connecting with Garrett Wilson for a touchdown.
Despite the late push and Wilson crossing 100 yards for the first time in 2024, the Jets fell short. Robert Saleh’s men lost the game 17-23.

Rodgers finished the game with 54 targets, completing 29 for 244 yards and a couple of touchdowns. The Jets have been dealt massive setbacks in the last couple of weeks, but it’s still early days, and the seasoned campaigner advised his teammates to block out the outside noise.
The Jets’ next opponents are divisional rivals the Buffalo Bills, who are on a two-game losing streak themselves with questions surrounding quarterback Josh Allen’s health.
