Aaron Rodgers likened to Donald Trump in veteran journalists’ bizarre analysis
Aaron Rodgers has a choice to make with the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New York Giants as his two options.

NFL free agency is heating up and many stud players have landed major contracts. With many some quarterbacks off the board, the possibilities for Aaron Rodgers‘ next landing spot also diminish. But many believe he can still lead a team.
His tenure with the New York Jets did not go as planned. At the end of it, the franchise preferred to move on as they are building towards a new future under Aaron Glenn. That meant that the 41-year-old had to scour the market for potential landing spots.
Teams are aware of how his second season transpired. He had a hand in their collapse and cost a few people their jobs. With power struggles inevitable with aging superstars, teams have to think about what they are getting from Rodgers. That led to veteran analyst Colin Cowherd to say this.
I think Aaron is a little like Trump, they give off the same energy that they receive…If you give Trump a certain energy, you can get along. I think Aaron gives you the energy that you give him.
Colin Cowherd said
This reference to current President Donald Trump did not come out of nowhere. It is evident in both his spells as President of the United States that the real estate mogul works with what he is presented first. If one makes him comfortable, Trump will reciprocate that.

If they approach him with even the tiniest bit of hostility or disrespect, they will witness him treading a similar if not even more demoralizing path. Cowherd believes any team looking at Aaron Rodgers must be ready to accept this characteristic.
Super Bowl champion has two options
The New York Jets 2024 season gave enough indication of how that plays out. Those who were not completely on the QB’s page, were left catching some strays. Any new team signing him has to ensure they give him a positive vibe from the off.

One of the potential vacancies for Aaron Rodgers was with the Los Angeles Rams. Eventually, he did not get the job even though his close friend Davante Adams signed a two-year contract with them. Deals for Sam Darnold and other QBs indicate Rodgers has only a handful of options.
One of those options is to land with the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of their quarterbacks have taken up Rodgers’ previous position with the Jets. The other, Russell Wilson, is in talks with two teams other than the Steelers.
He is speaking to the Cleveland Browns as well as the New York Giants. Ironically, the latter is also a potential landing spot for the 41-year-old. If he does choose them, he might not have to even empty his apartment in New York.
Adam Schefter annoyed with Aaron Rodgers
This means if the four-time league MVP does not decide fast, he might lose out on that New York Giants job to Russell Wilson. At the same time, the Pittsburgh Steelers could also go a different route if Aaron Rodgers takes too long to decide. That is what annoyed Adam Schefter.
To me, this shouldn’t be that hard, right? Like, the Steelers want you. The Giants want you. We’re seeing players across the league make decisions. It shouldn’t be that hard. Either you want to play or you don’t.
Adam Schefter said
The ESPN Insider was annoyed that discourse surrounding the quarterback was taking up a lot of space in the media. There are teams looking to bolster their squads and much of their decisions are hanging on Aaron Rodgers’ decision.

If he takes too long, he will eventually undermine those teams. They are all looking to improve on their 2024 season records. That starts with pinning down the quarterback position. With Aaron Rodgers holding the key, they are slipping in this offseason.
