Good news for the New York Jets fans! Aaron Rodgers has returned to the United States after deliberately missing the mandatory minicamp earlier this month. Being the face of the franchise, the quarterback’s absence from the most important part of the offseason program made quite some noise.

Even though Rodgers had informed about his scheduled absence beforehand to his franchise, he faced intense backlash all over the internet for prioritizing a personal event over his professional commitments. While addressing his absence, head coach Robert Saleh termed it “unexcused but also assured that Rodgers is well-acquainted with the Jets’ strategy and system.

However, this couldn’t stop the rumors about his whereabouts from taking its toll on social media. As he returned to American soil, the question about his absence also got resolved, courtesy to his former teammate Marquez Valdes-Scantling.

Me and Aaron have been great friends since my time in Green Bay. I hit him up, told him I was coming out to LA, and said, 'Let's run some routes.' So we got it in. Went out to some high school and ran some routes together. We're good. It was good.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling told host Jason McIntyre

Interestingly, after a short commercial break, Mclntyre revealed he spoke to the wide receiver during the break and found out that Rodgers actually went to Egypt for a summer trip

All the New York media can stand down. Aaron Rodgers is back from Egypt! It’s not a secret anymore!

Although the Jets haven’t responded to Rodgers’ return yet, it sure has been a relief for them considering the unnecessary controversy it was attracting, not to mention once again diverting the attention away from the team. And it appears Rodgers has a realization too as he didn’t waste a second and started working out with the two-time Super Bowl champion to get in his best shape before preseason.
