In his 21 seasons in the league, Aaron Rodgers has seen enough opposing quarterbacks to know what they are made of. On Sunday, he will face rookie Shedeur Sanders for the first time.

The last time the 42-year-old QB faced the Browns, they deployed their other rookie signal caller, Dillon Gabriel, as head coach Kevin Stefanski preferred the Oregon alum over Sanders.

Since then, a lot has changed, with the Colorado Buffaloes star cementing his position as the starting quarterback of his team after a string of impressive performances.

Now, with just two weeks left, Shedeur Sanders is playing for a spot next season. As Aaron Rodgers gets set to face him, reporters asked the veteran QB if he had played against the 5th-round pick’s father, Deion Sanders.

Yeah. I didn’t throw him a pick, thankfully. I’ve followed Shedeur’s career… Being kind of a former Pac-12 school, I was pulling for him. It was a tough draft slide, obviously, a much longer wait than mine was. But he’s been patient, worked on his craft, and he has been playing pretty good last few weeks.

Aaron Rodgers replied

The then Green Bay Packers rookie went up against Deion Sanders in his second-ever game in the league. The Hall of Famers’ Baltimore Ravens forced two fumbles and an interception from the 24th overall pick out of California.

For him to now play Sanders’ son 20 years later, now as himself being one of the oldest players in the league, is going to be a life coming full circle experience for both the Sanders’ family and Rodgers.

Shedeur Sanders continues to win hearts among young fans

Aaron Rodgers believes Shedeur Sanders has been putting in the work necessary to deserve the starting quarterback spot on the Cleveland Browns.

The rookie’s fans, however, have been calling for the franchise to give him the spot ever since he performed exceedingly well in the preseason game.

To illustrate the Buffaloes star’s growing influence on the game, a fan shared a video where he and his wife gift-wrapped a Browns No. 12 jersey in a box for Christmas. As the young fan takes it out, the wide smile on his face proves how ecstatic he was to receive that gift. Then, he starts flashing Shedeur Sanders’ famous watch celebration.

Then, as his parents streamed the QB’s song, Perfect Timing, on their television, the young fan started vibing to the song and kept flashing the watch celebration.

It seems young NFL fans are being pulled by the Browns’ star’s personality, as the league currently does not have an exciting young superstar manning the most important position on any team.

Aaron Rodgers gifts his offensive linemen off-roaders

Compared to Shedeur Sanders, who has not had enough time to build chemistry with his offensive teammates, Aaron Rodgers has built a strong relationship with his Steelers teammates.

The offensive line has kept the Chino, California, native relatively clean this season, and for that reason, the QB decided to gift them with some Christmas goodies.

Rodgers got his offensive line Can-Am Maverick X3 side-by-side off-road vehicles. A video appeared on social media showing the signal caller riding shotgun with some of them as they gave their vehicles their first runs.

The four-time league MVP will hope those gifts motivate his O-line to keep him safe, as Browns star pass rusher Myles Garrett will be gunning to sack Rodgers.

He is one sack away from setting a new NFL single-season record and will be hoping he can complete his goal on Sunday, before extending it in their season-ending game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
