With his close friendship with independent Presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., quarterback Aaron Rodgers has often spoken against Donald Trump and Joe Biden. Not much to his surprise, he had an encounter with the former US President at a UFC 302 event.

Rodgers graced Saturday’s wrestling match with his presence accompanied by his former teammate Marcedes Lewis to see Islam Makhachev up against Dustin Poirier. The VIP guest at the UFC 302 event was Trump, who was said to walk right past the New York Jets star QB, but he didn’t even get up from his seat.

Sunday morning, Rodgers cleared the speculations about him ignoring the former US President by sharing an Instagram story with a picture from the UFC event. The ten-time Pro Bowler can be clearly seen shaking hands with Trump and having a little face time with him.

At one point during the UFC event, the crowd started chanting “F**k Biden” to acknowledge Trump’s presence and show their support for him in the Presidential election. Rodgers, who was sitting amongst the audience, was seen covering his face at this instance.

Although Rodgers isn’t a supporter of Biden, seeing the crowd supporting Trump by trashing his opponent made him attempt the invisible cloak, since he is supporting another opponent of Trump, RFK Jr.

Aaron Rodgers declined Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Presidential bid

Kennedy Jr. and Rodgers grew a close bond over their shared ideology on the COVID-19 vaccine, even to the extent where the RFK Jr. asked the NFL quarterback to join him as his running mate in the US Presidential election. He had offered him to run for the Vice President candidacy and spoke highly of him in the media.

However, the former NFL MVP didn’t want to part ways with football so soon, he had to decline Kennedy Jr.’s offer. The 40-year-old plans to play at least three to four more seasons in the league before retirement.

Also, as Rodgers’ first season with the Jets got ruined due to his torn Achilles injury, which kept him out of the league for the entire season succeeding Week 1, he wants to reclaim his elite status in the upcoming season.
