The New York Jets’ struggles continue to plague them. The team lost 25-22 to a 1-6 New England Patriots team led by Jacoby Brissett. With this loss, Aaron Rodgers and the offense failed to put up enough points despite the veteran quarterback throwing for 233 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Today was a must-win game for the New York Jets and the team lost. After the loss, interim head coach Jeff Ulbrich acknowledged that this was a grim time for the team.
The head coach motivated his locker room and sent the message that while things are not going in their favor at this point, they must continue to work hard and focus on each game.
"This is a moment of darkness and we understand that the outside world is going to get really loud right now."

Jeff Ulbrich’s message was seconded by Aaron Rodgers. The veteran quarterback has been taking heat from the media and fans for the Jets’ dismal record this season. With Sunday night’s loss, Rodgers knows that the criticism is just about to get worse.
Aaron Rodgers’ time with the Jets is not going as he had envisioned
The quarterback was asked by the media in his post-game press conference about what he thought of Jeff Ulbrich’s comments.
He knows that his and the team’s best bet is to accept the situation they find themselves in and focus on getting better for the remaining games.
The Jets were favored to win against the Patriots, who have struggled throughout this season. However, New England was able to keep Aaron Rodgers & Co. in check. There was a lot of dysfunction on offense for the Jets. It started as early as the first quarter when the quarterback had to use up all 3 of the team’s timeouts early on in the game due to miscommunication.

“I’ve been in the darkness. You’ve gotta go in there and make peace with it.”
The road ahead is grim for the New York Jets. The last 3 weeks make one thing clear: Robert Saleh was not the problem. Despite Davante Adams joining his old teammate, the wide receiver just moved from one losing team to another.
On the positive side, the Jets can still make the playoffs because the AFC East has not been competitive this season. If they had won week 8’s game, the team would have ranked second in the division.
