Aaron Rodgers’ brand of tush push could be the most fun one yet. The 4x NFL MVP put his spin on the Philadelphia Eagles’ infamous yard stealer.
The game at Cork Park in Dublin started with Jalen Ramsey‘s fumble return touchdown being overturned for stepping out of bounds. DK Metcalf scored an 80-yard touchdown, while running back Kenneth Gainwell pulled off a rushing masterclass.
Despite all of that, the highlight of the tie took place on a quarterback sneak, or as Gen-Z says, the tush push. However, Rodgers stayed back and let his 6-foot-7, 264 lb tight end Darnell Washington take the snap under center.
Washington and the Steelers’ O-line bulldozed their way past the Minnesota Vikings’ defense for a first down. Rodgers, meanwhile, held up his right arm to signal the first down like a conductor.

The 41-year-old’s body language might suggest the game was a forgone conclusion, but in reality, the Vikings came very close to causing an upset.
The AFC North franchise cruised into a 6-24 lead a few minutes into the fourth quarter. Minnesota mounted a late charge. Veteran Carson Wentz, who continued to deputize in JJ McCarthy‘s absence, threw back-to-back touchdown passes to Zavier Scott and Jalen Nailor to get the Vikings within three points of the Steelers.
However, the Steelers benefited from the Vikings receiving penalties at the death. It helped to burn the clock down to the final few seconds. Rodgers took a knee to smash the final nail in the Vikings’ coffin. The game ended with a 21-24 win for the Steelers.
The manner of the win failed to satisfy Aaron Rodgers
Rodgers threw 18 completions from 22 attempts for 200 yards and 1 passing touchdown to Metcalf as the Steelers secured their third win and second win since losing to the Seattle Seahawks in week 2.

At the final whistle, he thanked the Dublin crowd for the overwhelming support, but at the same time accepted that the offense could have played a lot better.
I think we kind of played the kind of football up front that we wanted to in the run game. They played cover high, and we looked at it all week.
Aaron Rodgers said after the final whistle
He praised Gainwell for racking up 19 carries for 99 yards and 2 rushing touchdowns in the absence of the injured Jaylen Warren.
Kenny [Gainwell] had a really good game with Jaylen [Warren] out and then DK [Metcalf] sparked us in the first half and the defense did enough to hold on, but we got to finish that game on offense.

Earlier in the week, Rodgers revealed that he would have loved to explore Ireland a bit more if the team had arrived in Europe earlier. Rodgers addressed those comments once again during the post-game press conference by directly calling out ESPN for twisting his words out of context.
ESPN wrote a clickbait headline taking my words [of exploring Ireland and drinking Guinness] out of context, which isn’t the first time. My desire all three times [my teams] came overseas was to come early in the week, especially if you have a bye week afterwards. Some of that is out of the control of the teams; some of it might be, but I would always love to get on a time [zone] you’re in and get to enjoy the area a little bit more.
