Pittsburgh Steelers fans must be tired of waiting for Aaron Rodgers, who is taking his time finalizing a deal with the AFC North franchise. If he continues to delay the process, more and more people will start to believe that he wants to retire instead of playing football.
Rodgers is 41, and when Christmas rolls into the country, he will experience his 42nd winter. However, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin remains committed to signing the 4x Super Bowl MVP.
Instead of honoring Tomlin’s wishes and penning a deal, Rodgers had remained AWOL. He’s enjoying the offseason by crashing a Just Mike concert.
Footage from one of such concerts was recently posted on X. Rodgers looked in a chill mood, wearing a faded white t-shirt, knee-high shorts, and a cap. He smeared water from a toy gun on the audience as they enjoyed the atmosphere.

It’s very different from Rodgers’ darkness retreat, but everyone has the right to enjoy their lives.
The Steelers fans will not be happy about this. They have patiently waited for an answer from Rodgers since March, and it’s nearly the end of May. He is infamous for ditching OTAs and training camp, but at least he could end the misery of the Steelers fans by signing a deal.
Insider reveals when Aaron Rodgers will sign a contract with the Steelers
This is a situation like no other. The Steelers want him, and Rodgers allegedly wants to play in Pittsburgh but continues to ghost the team.

Tomlin and general manager Omar Khan passed on Shedeur Sanders in the recently concluded NFL Draft’s first round due to their desire to see Rodgers in the black and gold uniform. So, when will the Steelers finally have their wish fulfilled? ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler provided a small hint on the latest episode of SportCenter.
People I’ve checked with say the [Pittsburgh] Steelers remain optimistic here. They have been in touch with Aaron Rodgers, but there’s still no hard and fast update. Clearly, the Steelers are respecting Aaron Rodgers’ time. He had alluded in the past on The Pat McAfee Show that he had some issues in his inner circle that he wanted to work out. So the Steelers acknowledge that and are aware of those type of situations.
Jeremy Fowler said
The issue Fowler highlighted surfaced earlier this year. Rodgers flew into the Jets’ facility to talk extension with the new head coach, Aaron Glenn, but Glenn told Rodgers that his services were no longer required.
Rodgers became a free agent for the first time in his NFL career. However, his former Green Bay Packers teammate believes this will fuel a rage in the Super Bowl winner.
He should be juiced over the way the Jets disrespected him. I’m not even talking about the Packers. The Packers, y’all split ways, that’s all good. We’ll see you again. They’ll probably celebrate him and all that stuff. But this Jets stuff, the way they disrespected him leaving down there.
Former Packers receiver James Jones said on FS1’s The Facility
The Minnesota Vikings and the New York Giants pulled out of the race to sign Rodgers very early. Fans can add the New Orleans Saints to that list as well. He became a prime candidate to fill the void left by Derek Carr after his retirement. However, the Saints reportedly prefer rookie Tyler Shough as their starter.
