Aaron Rodgers launches verbal attack on referees after Bills MNF loss with a South Park reference
New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers made a big brain quote by giving a shoutout to South Park's 'Sarcastaball' after their penalty filled loss to the Bills on Monday.

The Monday night prime-time game between the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets was filled with refereeing decisions that raised eyebrows on and off the field. Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers had the perfect South Park analogy to describe his viewpoint of the officiating.
When asked about the 22 accepted penalties for 204 total yards, many of which came in the second half the veteran QB made sure to give his piece of mind to reporters.
Retired NFL corner Richard Sherman blasted the referees for being too biased with their calls against the Jets as well.
These refs are bias tonight. I don’t use that lightly but it’s apparent. These aren’t my teams but these calls don’t make sense. I see similar contact from buffalo DBs and nothing being called.

Rodgers, who is popular for his witty intellect, had the perfect way to describe the amount of penalties.
"It seemed a little ridiculous. Some of them seemed really bad, including the roughing the passer on me, that's not roughing the passer. We might as well play Sarcastaball if we're going to call those things."

The term ‘Sarcastaball’ is the title of South Park Season 18 episode 6, which aired in September 2012. For the uninitiated, the episode is a parody of the NFL’s mellowed-down rules regarding player contact. Ironically, the episode opened with the fictitious league authority banning the kickoff.
Tremendous @SouthPark "Sarcastaball" reference from Aaron Rodgers just now @BobMcPgh https://t.co/Mi7iTK8hlJ

Hopefully, Roger Goodell and the league committee will think twice about making such a brazen decision out of the blue, even though several changes have been made to score more points from kickoff returns.

Aaron Rodgers and the Jets lose their fourth game of the season
A local rivalry has always attracted much attention, but this one in particular had a lot riding on it. The winners of this fixture would take control of the AFC East. Rodgers and the Jets required it more because he personally had to prove that he could lead the team to win without Robert Saleh calling the shots.
He played well, throwing 23 completions for 294 yards and two first-half touchdowns to Garrett Wilson and Allen Lazard. However, a late fourth-quarter miscommunication between the 40-year-old quarterback and wide receiver Mike Williams turned the ball over to the Bills for an untimely interception.
Greg Zuerlein missing two field goals only made things worse for the Jets. On the other hand, Bills quarterback Josh Allen was on fire. Allen threw two touchdowns and rushed for one to secure a much more valuable win for the Bills. As things stand, the Bills lead the AFC East with a 4-2 record, while the Jets are the opposite with 2-4.
