Abdul Carter, projected to be the top pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, is determined to fulfill his childhood dream whether by hook or by crook. The young pass rusher recently made quite the headlines recently over some social media activity, seemingly suggesting how invested he is in playoffs as his dream team qualifies for the Super Bowl LIX.

According to ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr., Carter is the second-best draft prospect, but the team he hopes to join does not appear to have high enough draft selections to secure him. As a solution, a fan suggested an idea to the former Penn State Nittany Lions linebacker, telling him to intentionally drop his draft projection to increase his chances of being drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles.

Run a lil slow at the combine and you’ll be with them boys in a few months,” advised the fan, which went viral as Carter liked the comment.

Although Carter hasn’t publicly said anything about desiring his home team, fans are convinced that he is considering sabotaging his high draft projection in the upcoming NFL Scouting Combine to be available for Philly, whose priority at the moment is the Super Bowl.

The star pass rusher is projected to be among the top-five picks, whereas the Eagles wouldn’t enter until the late first round. Amid the big dilemma, some fans even believe he would pull an Eli Manning to land in his desired team, and given the way he is cheering for Philly, he doesn’t seem to have another team in his heart.

NFL Scouting Department highlights areas for improvement as Abdul Carter

Heading into his NFL debut, he is being compared to Penn State alum, Micah Parsons. While his elite athleticism is well-appreciated, he needs to improve certain areas before his NFL debut as the NFL Scouting Department of Bleacher Report highlighted.

This season, Penn State has often taken Carter off the field in run situations. While this can come with more time and experience on the edge, his block recognition isn’t there yet, which is most noticeable against pullers. He’ll often get caught staring in the backfield instead of keeping his eyes down the line of scrimmage when he’s unblocked.

The Scouting Department reported

The college football star linebacker is coming off an incredible season as being honored with the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and a unanimous All-American. In his draft class, Carter is ranked as the No. 1 EDGE player and 10th best player making his debut.
