He currently is behind the likes of Suryakumar Yadav who reached 912 and Virat Kohli who reached a highest of 909 points. If the southpaw continues this style of aggressive but consistent batting, there is every possibility that he will cross the great Virat Kohli in a few games time.

In just 21 innings in international cricket, Sharma has 783 runs to his name with a healthy average of 37.29. The most astonishing number though is his strike rate which makes him extremely lethal. He strikes at 197.73 making him one of the scariest players to bowl to. With India entering the final stages of the Asia Cup, Sharma would like to break a few more records in the remaining matches in this very tournament.
