Florian Plettenberg has reported that AC Milan are in negotiations with Chelsea regarding the transfer of Joao Felix to the San Siro. The Serie A side wants to sign the Portugal international as a replacement for Alvaro Morata. The future of Felix is unclear as he has fallen out of favor under Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca.

Felix has scored one in 12 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, his goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.25. Moreover, Felix’s total G/A (goals + assists) is two for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.5 per 90 minutes. He has appeared in 12 matches this season in the Premier League, playing a total of 363 minutes.

The stats reflect that the player has not been a regular on the first team for the Blues. Hence, he is looking for a move away from the Stamford Bridge. Aston Villa were close to securing a loan move for the player, but the Blues are blocking the move. They see Villa as a threat to their position in the top four when the season ends.

AC Milan are looking to get him on a loan move. However, the Blues want to add a mandatory purchase option for the Serie A side when the loan tenure ends. Joao Felix dazzles with creativity, flair, and exceptional ball control. His vision and finishing are top-notch, but his inconsistency and attitude have sometimes overshadowed his immense talent on the pitch.

Chelsea are looking to sign Mathis Amougou

L’Equipe has reported that the Blues are looking to sign Mathis Amougou from Saint-Etienne before the winter transfer window ends. Maresca wants to strengthen their midfield. Hence, they are eyeing the midfielder. The Blues are already in talks with the French club for a potential move.

Amougou stands out with his intelligent play and ball-winning ability. His progressive passing and defensive acumen make him a promising young midfielder, though he needs to refine his physicality. The Blues have quite a number of midfielders, but are likely to offload some before the winter transfer window ends.

The player has appeared in 17 matches this season in Ligue 1, playing a total of 857 minutes. However, he has yet to register any assist or goal to his name. The report has also revealed that Amougou will likely leave on loan if he is to join Chelsea before the winter transfer window ends.
