AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli contracts Covid-19 after Zlatan Ibrahimovic
After Gianluca Donnaruma and Zlatan Ibrahimovic tested positive for corona, their head coach Stefano Pioli tested positive. The rest of the team has been declared negative. Now the coach will go into quarantine while the Saturday training session is cancelled.
One more positive case
AC Milan seems to have its most important players infected by the virus. First it was highly rated goalkeeper Gianluca Donnaruma. Then it was maverick striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Now it is their head coach Stefano Pioli who tests positive.
Pioli joined Milan in the year 2019 with the initial contract stating that he’ll see out the season. Later he signed for a year extension and has led Milan to the top of the table. Milan tops the Serie A table with 17 points from 7 games and next face Napoli.
Stefano Pioli has had a decorated career where he has won most with Juventus. He has played for Parma, Juventus, Hellas Verona, Fioretina, Padova, Pistoiese, Fiorenzuola and Colorno. He has made 312+ appearances and has played for Fiorentina the most.
AC Milan will hope that he recovers soon so that he can return to manage the team against rivals Napoli.
