Gazzetta Dello Sport via SPORT revealed that Marcus Rashford wants to move to Barcelona. Hence, they are leading the race to sign the out-of-favour Manchester United star. However, in order to sign the Englishman, The Red Devils will need to provide the Catalan club with some leeway. Reports have even stated that West Ham United are also in the race to sign the attacker, and Rashford might make a move across England if he is not able to play for Barcelona.
Rashford’s future at Old Trafford is in doubt as the new manager, Ruben Amorim, has not played him in the team for over a month. The manager does not consider him to be an integral part of his project, and the Englishman is looking to leave Manchester United.
The attacker has scored 138 goals and provided 63 assists for the Red Devils so far in his tenure and has already played his final game for the club. AC Milan were also interested in his services, but it seems like that Serie A club won’t be making a move for him now.
Barcelona are the favourites to sign him. The future of Ansu Fati is clear, and it’s away from the Catalan club. Hence, Hansi Flick will need a world-class left-winger to compete with Raphinha in that position. United have demanded a fee of £40 million to sign the player, and it is uncertain whether the Catalan club will be coughing up that amount to secure his signing.
Borussia Dortmund also wants to push for Marcus Rashford’s signing
Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund also wants to bring Rashford to their club. They have initiated discussions within the club about his signing and want to bring the English player on loan. They were not interested in signing him earlier, as Nuri Sahin had not enlisted him as the preferred target.
Rashford has scored four goals in 15 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Moreover, Rashford’s total G/A (goals + assists) is five for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.46 per 90 minutes.
Rashford passes the ball roughly 28.47 times during a game with a pass completion rate of 76.85%. He also plays 1.37 key passes each game on average. Meanwhile, the manager, Ruben Amorim, was asked if the Englishman had already played his last match for the club. He replied on an indirect note that he did not know whether that had happened or not.
