AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic tests positive for coronavirus
Seria A club AC Milan have announced club striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has tested positive for coronavirus. The Seria A side confirmed the news of Ibrahimovic with a short statement ahead of their Europa clash against Bodo/Glimt.
AC Milan said in a statement, “informed the relevant authorities and the player has been promptly placed in quarantine at home. All other team members and staff have tested negative.“
Zlatan to miss Eurapa League tie
Ibrahimovic set to miss the Europa League tie as he will be in isolation the club have confirmed. AC Milan will play the third qualifying round match against Bodo/Glimt on Thursday.
The 38-year striker Swedish striker had signed a one-year contract with AC Milan until 2021. Zlatan also scored twice for the Italian side in their last game against Bologna.
