Switching teams could be a big move. As in every sport, a player after some time finds himself in his new home. The impact of a particular player can sometimes be seen in the very first game. It might take a little while for the player to settle down. Looks like Red Sox’s Adam Duvall has already found his grove at Fenway Park.
The 2021 World Series winner with Atalanta Braves had an injury-based season in 2022. Duvall only managed to play 86 games in the previous year. He racked up 38 home runs and cashed in 113 RBI’s and helped the Braves win it all. The 34-year-old now is on a one-year deal with the Red Sox. He has suddenly become a fan favorite in Boston.
In his first series with the Red Sox, Duvall batted with an average of .571 with eight hits. He had two home runs, including one walk-off and eight RBIs against the Orioles. His red-hot form saw him being named American League Player of the Week.
He came up clutch to help his new team earn its first win of the season as the Red Sox came back to win 9-8. He slammed a two-run home run and walked it off in the bottom of the night with his second home run of the game. He continued to deliver on Sunday from where he left off as he went 3-5 with two doubles and drove in a pair of runs.

Adam Duvall enters into Red Sox history books
With his stunning display, Adam Duvall entered himself into Red Sox history books. He became the first Red Sox player to have six extra-base hits in his first three games for the team. He also became only the fourth player in Red Sox history to cash in at least eight runs in the team’s first three games of a season. He joins an elite club of Brock Holt (eight RBI, 2016), Bobby Doerr (nine RBI, 1941), and Ted Williams (nine RBI, 1942).
Duvall also became the first player when he did this. With two outs, he stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the ninth needing a single to complete the cycle. Instead of going for personal glory, he finished the game with a home run to send Fenway Park into ecstasy. It completed the Red Sox’s comeback after they trailed 7-1 in the afternoon.
The team itself is showing no signs of slowing down offensively. They scored nine runs in three consecutive games for the first time in their history. The team combined for a batting average of .327 against the Orioles. They bounced back after a 9-10 loss to win 9-8 and 9-5. Maybe losing big names like Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez won’t affect them much.
