If it wasn’t made clear several times during the buildup, CM Punk joined the OG Bloodline team at Survivor Series for Paul Heyman. Punk revealed during a sit-down segment with Roman Reigns that Heyman would owe him a favor after their WarGames match. Following their win on Saturday, fans were anticipating what lies ahead for Punk. Well, it didn’t take long for WWE to announce The Second City Saint’s next appearance.
Raw GM Adam Pearce announced on social media that Punk will kick off the upcoming episode of Raw. Pearce didn’t disclose further details about what the two-time WWE Champion will say. However, fans expect Punk to move on to his next feud after helping the OG Bloodline emerge victorious inside WarGames. Moreover, Punk could finally reveal the favor Heyman owes him, as the duo briefly mentioned it at Survivor Series.
Regardless of his next move, fans are glad to see Punk back on weekly programming. Prior to his return on SmackDown, The Straight Edge Superstar was on hiatus for over a month. Following his gruesome war against Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell, Punk took time off to evaluate his WWE future. As a result, he also missed the Crown Jewel PLE in early November.

As for his deal with Paul Heyman, there has been a lot of speculation since the revelation. Most notably, many believe that CM Punk could bring back Heyman alongside him with The Wiseman perhaps pulling double duty. Nonetheless, fans will have to wait and see what the former AEW wrestler has to say on tonight’s episode of Raw.
Paul Heyman lauds CM Punk for overcoming obstacles early in WWE career
CM Punk’s relationship with Paul Heyman didn’t exactly put him in the good graces of the WWE management. In late 2006, Heyman pushed for Punk to become the face of ECW. By the start of 2007, Heyman departed WWE following creative disagreements with Vince McMahon. Recently, Heyman spoke about how Punk succeeded in the company despite the tag of being a ‘Paul Heyman Guy.’.
Speaking with CBS Sports, Heyman admitted that Punk was a victim of his sour relationship with the company. Moreover, the WWE Hall of Famer explained the concept of hiding wrestlers’ limitations in ECW and promoting their strengths instead. However, Punk was different. The Second City Saint was a main event talent from the day he walked into WWE.

Heyman heaped praise on Punk, saying that the latter defying the odds and going on to become a multi-time world champion is a testament to his hard work and talent. When Heyman returned to WWE in 2012, he eventually sided with Punk, as their on-screen partnership lasted for almost a year before Paul E. betrayed his friend.
