“Preparing for life after NFL” – Adam Sandler confirms Travis Kelce will appear in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’, fans react

Big news for football fans as their very own Travis Kelce is reportedly going to make his debut in the world of cinema. Hollywood star Adam Sandler recently spilt beans on how the NFL tight end will be starring in the most-awaited sequel of Happy Gilmore. 

During his recent appearance on The Tonight Show, the comedian confirmed the ongoing speculation about Kelce’s cameo in Hollywood. Sandler, who starred and co-wrote the golf comedy of 1996 with Tim Herlihy, built the hype for the upcoming sequel for which they worked “our a** off” and have “something nice” for the Kansas City Chiefs star. 

We have a nice something for Travis. He’s going to come by and he’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life.

Since the Hollywood actor confirmed the news, fans have gone crazy calling it “awesome” and “dope.” One fan even claimed, “Travis Kelce out here preparing for life after the NFL,” while another wrote, “If Adam Sandler says you’re funny, then you’re funny.” Here are some of the fan reactions: 

Talking about Kelce, Sandler also praised his physique and funny nature, saying, “What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell.” The nine-time Pro Bowler has always been a star in the NFL, but since he started dating the global star Taylor Swift, his horizons of talent and fame as expanded exponentially.

Travis Kelce downplays speculations about his potential cameo

Sandler’s confirmation on Kelce’s appearance in his upcoming sequel came just a few months after the tight end addressed the conspiracy theories around his potential career in Hollywood. In a May episode of his famous podcast, New Heights, Kelce asserted that he wasn’t aware of any job openings for the Happy Gilmore 2, as if he knew, he was even ready to be an extra for the iconic comedy. 

Anything to get around Happy Gilmore, an Adam Sandler film, or set — count me in. Who knows? Theories can come true. Theories can be true and just people don’t know about it. So I might even be in the talking [phase] and nobody knows about it, but I could also not be in the talking.

Travis Kelce had stated

While talking to his brother Jason Kelce, Travis discussed the potential roles he can play in the movie and revealed that he is ready to take up any role he can get because all he wants is just to be part of that iconic production.
