Former England skipper and current commentator Michael Vaughan has always managed to grab the headlines since the beginning of England’s tour of India in February 2021. Earlier he mocked the Indian pitches during the Test matches; followed by the home team’s playing style in t20Is.
However, Vaughan took a u-turn after India registered a scintillating series win in the shortest format of the game. The Virat Kohli-led side beat England by 36 runs in the series decider to clinch the trophy 3-2. The Englishman took no time in hailing the hosts in an appreciation post on Twitter.
Michael Vaughan said that the addition of Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja will make this side favourites for the upcoming T20 World Cup in India. These two players missed out on the recently-concluded series against Egland and would now be seen at the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021.

Vaughan tweeted: “India have adapted brilliantly in this series … the better team has won … Add @Jaspritbumrah93 & @imjadeja to this team in Indian conditions & they are favourites to win the T20 World Cup … Great series to watch .. #INDvsENG”
India and England to play T20 WC final: Vaughan
India and England are undoubtedly amongst the strongest contenders to play the final of the ICC 2021 T20 World Cup. Michael Vaughan also feels similar as he had tweeted the same before the start of the fifth match in Ahmedabad. However, he earlier predicted that England will emerge as the champions if these two sides lock horns in the ultimate game of the tournament.
But the 46-year old shifted his opinion after India crashed England in the final match of the T20I series.
“I reckon today’s T20 final could be the T20 World Cup final in 8 months … At the same venue … England to win … #INDvENG,” Vaughan wrote.
