Professional wrestling involves a lot of intricate work. Right from honing their in-ring skills to mic skills, the wrestlers go through a lot of hurdles. The way they get featured, in turn, influences the image of the company in which they work. Recently, AEW has been brutally trolled online after a video of several botches on a show went viral.
Entitled “The greatest AEW compilation of all time,” an user posted a video on X, showing a lot of botches like a failed kick from Sammy Guevara, Wheeler Yuta punching the air, Dante Martin thrashing MJF and even Orange Cassidy throwing a superman punch far from the target.

This video can be seen exploiting the botches that are a common part and parcel of professional wrestling. While many fans backed AEW, others were quite brutal in their responses. One of them even went ahead to call AEW “All Exaggerated Wrestling.” The wrestling world wasn’t reluctant to take shots at the Jacksonville-based promotion.
It gave way to an array of tweets, all aiming at one thing, and that is to tarnish AEW’s image. In this world of social media, where everyone is interconnected, these things tend to harm the mental health of those who get targeted. Needless to say, AEW has often been the subject of discussion, mostly for bad reasons.
In today’s era of professional wrestling, not only has the talent upskilled the game, but the environment around them has also significantly changed. It has seriously become difficult for many wrestlers to control their kayfabe, let alone enjoy it. While the AEW community is known for its strong solidarity, fans are also expected to show decency in the way they treat their stars online.
Fans react to recent AEW botches compilation
While it is a dream for many people to become professional wrestlers, many seem to ignore its dark side. The wrestlers have to go through a lot of pain every day, which even includes brutal trolling. Even big companies like WWE and AEW aren’t safe from being trolled. This was recently seen, as a botch compilation of AEW wrestlers received massive reactions from wrestling fans online.

While many of the users treated it as a “just for gags” moment, others delivered constructive criticism. One of the ‘X’ users can be seen stating the flaws in the AEW camerawork. To elaborate, he stated how the AEW camerawork focuses on the angle of impact directly, which exposes the lack of contact. To improve, he suggested refreshing the camera angles that they have configured.
AEW runs three shows every week. The nascent stage in which the company exists and the sudden expansion on which they’ve proceeded have made it quite difficult for the production crew to accumulate changes within a short period. Their competition with big sharks like WWE has also placed an immense burden on them. However, with time, AEW has experienced unprecedented growth, unlike any other wrestling promotion which deserves its fair share of applause.
