This year witnessed one of the biggest controversies in the world of professional wrestling. It was related to CM Punk getting fired because of getting involved in unprofessional behavior and even a backstage brawl in AEW. Recent developments have turned out to be interesting. Punk’s and Ace Steel’s lawyer, Stephen P. New has revealed how he was approached last year after the infamous Brawl Out incident. He revealed that everyone who was involved in the brawl signed an NDA. It seems Chris Jericho had some response for him.
After Y2J denied signing the NDA, New responded it was included in his handbook. This infuriated the former AEW World Champion. The Ocho responded with a long note informing how he was aware of what took place.
He also denied the possibility of adhering to a handbook suggested by New. To quote him:
Hey, @StephenPNew- I don’t adhere to an employee handbook and have NEVER had one in 4 years of working for @aew. I've also never signed an NDA in my life … ever. So stop trying to be a bully and making egotistical fantasy brags for your clients, and start doing some research before you make blanket statements about your buddies.Chris Jericho’s response to Stephen P. Jericho further tried to add weight to his response. He wrote details about the people and the actions performed during the brawl. Jericho hesitated to share some livid details but ranted around how the lawyer shouldn’t assume things as he wasn’t present at that point.

As can be read, New has maintained silence on what happened. However, he did reveal about how he got hired to represent both Punk and Steel.
For those who don’t know, Punk was a part of AEW All Out Media Scrum 2022, where he made some comments about the Elite. Later, he got involved in a locker room fight with Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks with Ace Steel on his side. Later, both the parties suffered long-term suspension.
